Lincoln Comes Home

A large delegation from Chicago accompanied Lincoln’s funeral train to Springfield. During their sojourn, they took time to visit the fallen president’s home at Eighth and Jackson Streets. Note the elaborate funeral drapery around the windows, front door, and roof line.
